Share files and photos with family or Outlook groups (2024)

OneDrivemakes it easier to stay connected with your family members,or groupsthat you've createdin Outlook. Simply sign in to family.microsoft.com with your Microsoft accountto predefine your family group, or create groups of people, such as friends, neighbors, or sports teams in Outlook.Then keep in touch easily by sharing photos, videos, and files with one click.

1. Predefine your family groupbyvisiting family.microsoft.com. Or create a groupof people, like a sports team, in Outlook.

   Note:You'll need to create aMicrosoft family group to use this feature with your family members. Usea freeMicrosoft account, orthe account associated with your Microsoft 365 Family, or Microsoft 365 Personalsubscription to create your family group, then proceed to step 2.

2. Go to OneDriveand sign in with your personal Microsoft account, such as Outlook.com, Live.com, Hotmail or MSN.

3. Select My files or Photos on the left pane.

4. Pick the file or folder you want to share by selecting the circle in the upper corner of the item, then select Share at the top of the page.

5. Select Anyone with the link can editif you want tocustomize access and edit permissions.

6. In the Enter a name or email address field, type Family or the name of your Outlook group, like Soccer team.When you type Family, OneDrive will give you the option to share with specific members by surfacing their names, or you can select Your family to share with your entire family.

7. Add a message and then send the invite.
