Omkareshwar Temple
Built in the year 1820, the Omkareshwar Temple in Madikeri is a beautiful shrine of Lord Shiva and bears reflections of Muhammadan architecture. The Islamic and Gothic construction styles fuse to form the stunning temple structure.
Dominated by a dome in the middle, the temple is graced by four turrets on all four sides. A striking lingam sits right by the temple gate, along with a water tank which is home to several fishes.

Madikeri Fort

It is incredibly amazing to know that Karnataka boasts of 21 wildlife sanctuaries and Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is one of them that adds more greenery to the state’s sizeable vegetation.
Sprawled across an area of 102 KM, this wildlife sanctuary is world famous for its sustainable approach to endangered bird species. It is almost 290 KM from Bangalore and is situated in the Somwarpet taluk district in Coorg.
Many small streams chisel down the steep terrain of the sanctuary which is caved by Bisle Reserve Forest on one side and Kukke Subramanya Forest range on the other. Around 70 % of the jungle is densely covered and many exotic bird species are found such as Malaria Grey Hornbill, Nilgiri Blue Pigeon, Blue-winged Parakeet and white-bellied blue flycatcher etc.

Talacauvery Temple
Sheltered by the famous Brahmagiri Hill, Talacauvery temple is one of the most popular places to cover during your two day trip in Coorg. Sitting about 48 km away from Madikeri, Talacauvery is a place of religious importance as well as natural beauty, being the origin of the river Cauvery.
Talcauvery houses two temples, one of Lord Shiva, and the other of Lord Ganesha. Perched at an altitude of 1,276 meters, Talacauvery is a favorite amongst devotees who flock here every year.

Triveni Sangam
The famous and river Bhagamadala, publicly referred to as Triveni Sangam is backed by a legend associated with the Cauvery river. It is located about 39 kilometers from Madikeri and is a popular pilgrimage site resting near the foothills of Talacauvery.

Brahmagiri Hills

The marriage between Lord Kumaraswamy and Devasena took place on the bank of Kumaradhara.Another story depicts Vasuki, the divine serpent was once threatened by Garuda (mount of Lord Vishnu/Venkateshwara). In order to save himself from the clutches of Garuda, Vasuki performed rigorous worship in the caves of Kukke Subramanya temple. Lord Shiva being pleased with his follower's devotion sent his son Karthikeyan (Murugan) to protect Vasuki from Garuda. Madikeri Fort Madikeri Fort has been a popular tourist attraction to witness the lives, rise and fall of several glorious rulers and dynasty. Founded by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century and constructed in mud, it finally took shape in granite and has stood testimony to several incidents. Hi this is keerthi vaasan,We are of 14 members for the trip. We reached at afternoon. The climate was really awesome. We started playing volleyball ball after long time. We played like this while we are in college. After some time we went for a trek on water falls. Really a fantastic ride. We took bath the water is nearly to freezing stage. I first really scared to go on. But after sometime my soul got sticked there. While returning from there only my body returned but my soul sticked out there.Food was really more delicious. They served with good respect. They are maintaining it in good way.The best palce to visit with frnds.

It was an stunning experience for me as solo traveler. Location is in 16 km cut from Madikeri towards Talakaveri and last 3 km pathway is very much into the forest and you will be enjoying that. Location is untapped by many and road in the last stretch is not so comfortable and that is the beauty of the place. The place is very much into the forest and you wont here any sound other than birds,leaves and wind.No Wifi and Network is very weak and that's exactly what we need when we are in holidays. Temperature is damn low at night and camp fire sets the mood for it to enjoy. Tent sleep is a different experience for me and i am sure it would be the same for all.Water stream flows nearby and we can go and pass time there.Morning, we walked around 2 Km into the forest to see a jungle falls which is icing on the cake. Trekking path is also untouched by many i believe. Also you can coffee estate to walk around.No need to mention that food is very delicious and so are services.On a whole, I am sure it would be a complete package for a camp day or two. if it is Coorg, this should be your stay place. I landed at thrillophilia accidentally and it is a needed one. If i want to say in Rajini style, "Magizhchi"

Coorg is indeed a lovely place and the perfect place to take your spouse and kids. If you are planning a Coorg trip then you should go to this amazing elephant camp for a quick and amazing vacation! There are whole lot of activities and specially elephants. My kids loved it a lot.

The term 'Gentle Giant' might have been coined especially for elephants! This was a very offbeat and enchanting experience. Totally loved our stay and activities like jeep safari, bird watching, elephant interaction for best part of the whole trip.

Located away from the noise and the crowded town of Virajpet- just 9 kms away. In middle of a plantation with quiet walks around. A place to chill. If you are looking for activities, you need to book outside of the place. Self sufficient within itself with a quaint cottages and deck rooms- clean bathrooms. Food was excellent made by Anand. As the caretaker -he was hospitality personified. chilled out place. Requires the approach road to be done up. And some touch ups getting done. Should have your own vehicle. But I recommend the place
We had the best gateway!!It was very peaceful with mesmerising view.Add on was the stay and the staff was very kind and helpful. We also had camp fire which was cherry on the cake.Would recommend this stay to all and book through thrillophilia

It was wonderful experience we had here, this place was awesome, no disturbance from other people and there is no restrictions. Food is also superb and hospitality was also fantastic. We were five friends who wanted to party and we sat around bonfire and played songs and enjoyed a lot.
